UKBA accused of covering up true scale of backlog
Border chiefs were today accused of camouflaging the true scale of the backlog of asylum and immigration cases. The total number of cases which have not been processed now stands at over 300,000 and it has emerged that the UKBA is to give up trying to trace around 80,000 migrants as they suggle to deal with the backlog.
